Your birth time matters. Checkout asks for your birth date, time and place, and the whole reading is computed from them. A time off by 15 minutes can move houses and shift dates, so use the time on your birth certificate if you have it and check all three before you pay. Not sure of your time? See rectification.

Add-on ✦ rectification
The rising sign moves one degree every four minutes, so an uncertain time makes the houses uncertain. Rectification narrows the time down with a few questions about dated events in your life. You answer by email, on your own schedule, and each answer rules out a range of times.
It is the least testable thing we offer. You'll see which answers narrowed the window and by how much, and the result is an estimate. If your recorded time is close, you don't need it.

Natal if you want the chart read on its own. Natal + Timing adds the period you are in and the dates it changes; it is the one we recommend. The Dispatch includes the Natal + Timing booklet for $40, then $12 a month or $120 a year for an issue that reads each month's sky against your chart.
You pay $40 for your Natal + Timing booklet plus your first period: $52 to start monthly ($12 a month after), or $160 to start yearly ($120 a year after). At the start of each month you get a Dispatch for your chart: where your dasha periods stand, a dated calendar of the month's sky, the three transits that touch your chart most, and the month's lunations over your city. To cancel, sign in to manage your subscription with the email you paid with; it stops at the end of the month or year you've paid for.
Not yet. The printed A5 book is in testing. Join the waitlist and we'll email you when it opens. Until then, the print-at-home file makes a folded, stapled booklet on any home printer.

Before work begins: cancel for a full refund any time before your reading has started.
After work begins: each reading is written for one chart, so once it is underway the order is non-refundable.
Not satisfied? Write within 7 days and we'll make one revision at no charge.
Dispatch subscription: cancel any time through manage subscription. Your plan runs to the end of the month or year you've paid for and does not renew. Issues and periods already paid are not refunded.

What we collect. Your name, email, and birth details, only what's needed to produce your reading, plus payment information, handled entirely by our payment processor and never stored by us.
How we use it. Solely to compute your chart, write and deliver your reading, and communicate about your order. We never sell or share your information for marketing.
Retention. Kept only as long as needed to deliver your order and any follow-up, or for as long as your Dispatch subscription runs. You may request deletion at any time via contact@understoryastrology.com.
The service. Personalized written astrology readings based on birth data you supply; accuracy depends on the details you provide.
Delivery. By email as PDF files, typically within 2–5 business days. Dispatch issues are sent at the start of each month. Timeframes are estimates, not guarantees.
Your responsibilities. You confirm you are 18+, that your birth details are accurate, and that the reading is for personal use.
Intellectual property. Your finished reading is yours to keep and print for personal use; the underlying methods remain the property of Understory and may not be resold.
